Slovenia day trip

Explore the most beautiful gems of Slovenia in a day. Get to know Slovenia, the only European country that unites the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Pannonian Plain and the Karst. Amazingly enough, thanks to its geographical and climatic diversity you can, in a single day, pick autumn fruits in the morning, swim in the Adriatic in the afternoon, and go night skiing in the evening.

Our tour takes you to our neighboring country, Slovenia. After 25 min we cross the border and continue our scenic drive, passing Slovenian capital Ljubljana and continuing north-west where we reach Lake Bled after 2 hours of transfer. Bled is considered to be a true-hidden jewel of Julian Alps and with its island in the middle of the lake and castle on top of the rock often reminds one of a fairy tale often seen in the movies. But this one is real. We’ll pay the visit to Bled caste dating from 11th century, offering remarkable views of the lake and the Slovenian Alps. Afterward, we are coming down to Bled Lake waterfront for an easy and relaxing stroll next to the water. Now is time for well – deserved coffee/tea and famous Bled cream slice cake.

In the afternoon we continue our Slovenian adventure with a 45-min transfer to Ljubljana, Slovenian capital, once known under the roman name Emona, city of exceptional history and rich culture. This charming city which has a town vibe and atmosphere always calls for a stroll next to Ljubljanica river or for a view from the Old town castle from which you can see the “whole” of Slovenia. We’ll take a walk in the city center and visit Ljubljana’s most popular sites like: Triple brdige, Dragon bridge, Old town (Ljubljana castle), Cobbler’s bridge and more.

We arrive back to Zagreb in early evening.
